According to TFI International Inc., its net income decreased to US$133.3 million in the third quarter from US$245.2 million in the same period last year.
Revenue for the quarter ended September 30 was US$1.9 billion, down from US$2.2 billion in the same period previous year, according to the transportation firm located in Montreal.
According to TFI, a decrease in quantities brought on by lower demand contributed to the income drop.

Alain Bédard, chairman, president and CEO, said the business performed admirably during a period of lower demand.
According to him, the business is in a good position to profit from a future increase in demand.
