According to Schumer’s office, the conference will be bipartisan and will also feature OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
Many governments are thinking about how to lessen the risks associated with the new technology, which has seen a surge in consumer interest and investment since the publication of OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Schumer made a suggestion in June that he would organise a meeting to “lay down a new foundation for AI policy.”
